Kyle Johnson

Kyle Johnsen is from Salt Lake City, Utah, where he lived before going to Spain as a missionary. He is currently majoring in Bioinformatics at Brigham Young University, in Provo, Utah. His previous research experience involved rewriting and improving a mutation mapping software package used to identify cardiac mutations in zebrafish (Danio rerio). He is currently an NSF-funded REU student in the Schnable lab, where he is piloting an image-based phenotyping and genome wide association technique for maize kernels as a part of UNL's Summer Research Program.
